If you're between sizes: size up in the bust, not down. Embroidered panels barely stretch, so a cup that is too small will not ease into place the way stretch lace does.
If you want it to show on camera: pick contrast embroidery. Dark thread on light mesh, or bright thread on black, reads from across the room. Tone on tone looks subtler in person.
If comfort matters for a long night: check where the embroidery sits. Stitching over the cups is rarely an issue. Heavy embroidery at the leg openings can feel scratchy on sensitive skin.
If it's a gift: pick a style with adjustable straps and a hook and eye back. Adjustable pieces cover a wider range of bodies than fixed ones.
Hand wash only. Machine agitation snags embroidery thread and pulls the mesh around it. Cold water, gentle soap, dry flat.
