BALL GAGS
A ball gag muffles sound and takes speech off the table, which is most of why people want one. Silicone balls on adjustable buckle straps, plus a lips gag, a puppy play bone gag and a glow in the dark version.

A ball gag is a silicone ball on an adjustable strap that buckles behind the head. It fills the mouth, muffles sound and takes speech out of the scene, which shifts control to whoever is not wearing it. Ball size decides how much: smaller is easier on the jaw and easier to wear for longer, larger is fuller and more demanding.
Silicone is the material that matters. It is softer on teeth and jaw than hard plastic, it is non porous so it genuinely cleans, and it does not hold onto smell. Anything porous going in a mouth is a bad idea for reasons that have nothing to do with kink.
The safety point here is specific and not optional: a gagged person cannot use a safe word, so agree on a non verbal signal before anything goes on. Something held in the hand that gets dropped works well, because it fails in the right direction if they lose their grip. Never leave somebody gagged alone, and take it out if breathing changes at all. Jaw fatigue also arrives sooner than most people expect, so a first session should be shorter than you think you want.
Same principle, different shapes and different levels of demand.
If it is a first gag: smaller ball, and a shorter session than you planned. Jaw fatigue is what ends most first attempts, not nerve.
If the jaw is the problem: a lips gag over a ball. Less filling and much easier to wear for a while, and it still takes speech off the table.
If it is for photographs: the shaped ones. A lips gag or a bone reads on camera in a way a plain black ball does not.
On materials: silicone only, nothing porous. It cleans properly, it is gentler on teeth, and it will not hold smell between uses.
On safety: agree a non verbal signal before anything goes on. Something held in a hand that can be dropped is the standard, because it fails safe. Never leave somebody gagged on their own, and stop if breathing changes at all.
