A single lilac patch that sticks to your lower belly and works through your clothes, with no wires running anywhere.
Aura is a TENS unit, which means it sends gentle electrical pulses through the skin into the muscle underneath. The pulses feel like a buzzing or tingling, and they work by interrupting the pain signals travelling to your brain while encouraging the muscle to let go. It is drug free, so there is nothing to take and nothing to time around anything else you are on. The whole thing is one piece: a round control puck between two silicone wings that adhere with gel pads, so there are no cables to thread under a waistband. Wear it under clothes at a desk, on a couch or on a train, and adjust it without anyone knowing it is there.
Why you will love it
- One patch, no wires. Most TENS units run leads from a battery box to separate pads, which is why most of them stay in a drawer.
- 20 intensity levels, so you can find the point where it is doing something without it being uncomfortable.
- 6 therapy modes, each a different pulse rhythm.
- Up to 5 hours of use per charge, and a full charge takes about 40 minutes.
- Drug free relief, which matters when you have already taken what you can take that day.
- At 0.85 oz it is lighter than a phone, and the buttons are large enough to work by feel through a shirt.
- Comes with a hard clamshell travel case, so the gel pads stay clean and stuck to something between uses.
- Medical grade silicone on the wings that sit against your skin.

Complete the set
The gel pads are a wearing part and each one lasts about a cycle. Keep a spare pack on hand: VUSH Aura Replacement Electro Gel Pads, 2 Pack.
How to use it
- Charge it fully before the first use. It takes about 40 minutes.
- Peel the film off the gel pads and press the wings flat against clean, dry skin over the area that hurts. Lower belly for cramps, lower back for back pain.
- Press power, then step the intensity up slowly. You want a strong tingle, not a sting.
- Cycle the modes to find the rhythm that suits you. There is no single right one.
- When you are done, peel it off gently, press the wings back onto the case liner and close the case so the gel stays tacky.
Before you use it
- Do not use a TENS device if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator or any other implanted electrical device.
- Do not use it if you are pregnant, particularly over the abdomen or lower back.
- Do not use it if you have epilepsy or a heart condition without speaking to your doctor first.
- Do not place the pads over broken or irritated skin, over the front or sides of your neck, or over your head.
- Take it off before you sleep, drive, bathe or shower.
- If the sensation becomes painful rather than buzzy, turn the intensity down. It should never hurt.
Care
- Keep the gel pads clean, and press them back onto the case liner between uses so they hold their tack.
- Wash the skin where you place it and let it dry first. Lotion and oil stop the pads adhering.
- Gel pads are a wearing part. They lose their stick over time and are replaced separately.
- Wipe the control unit with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not submerge it.
- Store it in the case, out of direct sun.
Use it for
- Period cramps, worn on the lower belly under clothes.
- Lower back ache during your cycle, worn against the small of your back.
- General muscle tension, wherever it is sitting.
- Days when you have already taken what you can and still need something.
- Work, travel and being out of the house, since it is silent and hidden under a waistband.
FAQ
What does it actually feel like?
A buzzing, tingling pulse in the muscle rather than on the skin. At low levels it is barely there. At higher levels you feel the muscle twitch. It should never feel sharp.
Can I wear it under clothes?
Yes, that is the point of the single patch design. It sits flat under a waistband and there are no cables to hide.
How long does a charge last?
About 300 minutes of use, which works out to roughly 10 to 12 sessions. A full charge takes around 40 minutes.
Do the gel pads run out?
Yes. They are a wearing part and lose their stick with repeated use. Replacement pads are sold separately.
What is the difference between the 6 modes?
Each is a different pulse pattern. Some are steady, some pulse or build. Which one helps is personal, so cycle through them.
Is it waterproof?
No. Take it off before bathing or showering, and wipe the control unit rather than rinsing it.
How big is it?
6.3 inches wide, 2.3 inches tall, half an inch thick, and it weighs 0.85 oz.
Can anyone use it?
No. TENS is not suitable if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electrical device, if you are pregnant, or if you have epilepsy or a heart condition without medical advice. Read the Before you use it section above.
