The gel pads are the wearing part of a TENS device. They are what holds Aura against your skin and what carries the current from the unit into the muscle, and they lose their tack with use, sweat and time. These are the genuine replacements: two pads, cut to the same shape as the device, with metal snap studs that click straight onto the wings. Each pad is designed to last roughly a full cycle, so a two pack covers about two months.

How to use them

• Peel the old pads off the snap studs on the Aura wings and throw them away.
• Line the new pads up with the studs and press until they click on.
• Peel the protective film off the gel side just before you use it.
• Press onto clean, dry skin. Lotion, oil and sweat all stop the gel gripping.
• After each use, press the pads back onto the liner or the inside of the travel case so the gel keeps its tack.

Care

• Always return the pads to the liner or case after use. Left exposed to air, the gel dries out fast.
• Wash and dry the skin before each use, since residue on your skin transfers onto the gel.
• Do not wash the pads. Water ruins the hydrogel.
• Store them flat, out of direct sun and away from heat.
• Replace them when they stop gripping or when the sensation gets weaker at your usual intensity.

How do I know when to replace them?
Two signs. The pad stops holding on, or you find yourself turning the intensity up higher than usual to feel the same thing. Both mean the gel is spent.
