Rabbit Vibrators

Rabbit vibrators do two things at once: a shaft inside and an arm on the clitoris, each with its own motor. Classic rabbits, thrusting and rotating versions, flapper arms, app controlled pairs and small first rabbits.

What is a rabbit vibrator?

A rabbit vibrator is a dual stimulation toy: a shaft that goes inside and a smaller arm that sits on the clitoris, each driven by its own motor so you can run them at different speeds. The name comes from the original 1990s design, where the arm was shaped like ears.

The reason the shape persists is arithmetic rather than novelty. Most people with a clitoris need it involved to orgasm, and penetration on its own does not reach it. A rabbit does both without anybody having to hold a second toy in place at an awkward angle.

The spec that decides whether a rabbit works for you is the one almost nobody checks: the gap between the shaft and the arm, and whether the arm flexes. Bodies differ in the distance between the vaginal opening and the clitoris, and a rigid arm set at the wrong distance simply will not make contact. If a rabbit has ever felt like it was missing, that is the reason, and it is a fit problem rather than a power one.

Types of rabbit vibrators

The internal half is what changes between them.

  • Classic dual motor: a curved shaft and a fixed or flexible arm, both buzzing. The simplest version and still the one most people get on with.
  • Thrusting rabbits: the shaft moves in and out under its own motor while the arm stays put. The closest thing to hands-free.
  • Rotating and beaded: beads in the shaft rotate or churn against the front wall. A rolling pressure rather than a buzz, and a different sensation entirely.
  • Flapper and tapping arms: the clitoral arm flicks or taps instead of vibrating. Gentler on anyone who finds steady vibration numbing.
  • App controlled rabbits: paired to a phone, so a partner can drive it from the next room or another country.
  • Small first rabbits: shorter and narrower, for anyone who wants the shape without the full size.

How to choose the right one

If a rabbit has disappointed you before: look at the arm, not the motor. A flexible or adjustable arm fits far more bodies than a rigid one, and mismatch there is the single most common reason a rabbit sits unused.

If this is your first: go shorter than you think. Insertable length above five inches stops helping and starts getting in the way of the arm reaching where it needs to.

If steady vibration goes numb on you: a flapper or tapping arm. Intermittent contact keeps registering long after constant buzz has stopped doing anything.

If you want it hands free: thrusting. The shaft moves on its own, which is the only version here that does not need you to do the work. See thrusting vibrators.

If the G-spot is the target: check the curve as well as the arm. Some rabbits are shaped to press the front wall and some just go straight in. The G-spot vibrators page is sorted for that specifically.

On lube: water based with silicone. Two motors in one toy pull on more lube than a single one, and silicone lube degrades silicone. See water based lubricants.
